Foreign Employment Promotion Board (FEPB) Training Program 2015 Implemented by Nepal Engineering and Technical Science Academy (NETSA) at Kailali, Kanchanpur and Rupendehi Districts.
The Skills Development Project (SDP) is funded by a grant from the Asian Development Bank, with a contribution Government of Nepal (GON). The USD 20 Million grant was approved by the ADB. The Government of Nepal (GON) contributed USD 5 Million to the project. The project is executed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and implemented by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training. The Project aims to increase the employability of the Nepalese workforce by building an inclusive market responsive Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system. SDP’s four components are: expanded provision of inclusive market-oriented training; improved quality and relevance of TVET Provision; implementation of policy, institutional and operations reforms; and effective project management and monitoring and evaluation are designed to drive these strategic reforms in TVET forward.
The Training and Employment Services are provided by Nepal Engineering and Technical Science Academy in association with Rastriya Pravidhik Shikshalaya, Action for Development as Joint Venture partner for 22 districts. The assignment specifically includes the training and employment placement of at least 3000 trainees with all 22 districts of the country over 22 months.
The inception for the Training and Employment Service was conducted from the 17th August 2016 to 20th August 2016. The main objectives of inception were: information gathering; debriefing and assessing progress and revising as required approach, deploying schedule and work plan for consulting services for training and employment service for Western Development Region. The objectives were achieved.
The major outcomes of Reconstruction Skills are- skilled youth are employed to reconstruct houses with earthquake resilient technology & the skills training system has integrated earthquake resilient technology and revised building codes in construction related trades. Thus through the training, earthquake affected households and potential workers are trained and able to build permanent housing following earthquake resistance technologies from locally available materials (stone, bricks, mud and wood) in combination with other materials (e.g. CGI sheets).After the training, those trained graduates will be able to earn at least NPR. 9,700 per month in 6 month

National Skill Testing Board (NSTB) is an authorized government organization in Nepal which measures occupational skills standards of graduates. NSTB on examining the skill test products, issues skill proficiency certificates after the completion of training skill test of Level -1 organized by the institute.
- Introduction and Purpose of the Training:

- Announcement and Trainee Selection Process:
Public announcement was started from 22nd Feb 2014. We done about 15 days public announcement .We used several means of public announcement to disseminate information. We followed all norms as prescribed by trainee selection guideline of Employment Fund (EF) during trainee selection. Selection process was prioritized so as to include marginal groups & poor people as most as possible and the institution believes selection process was fair enough.
- Short description on Occupational Skill Standard, Curriculum and Manual followed:
All the training courses are 3 months duration (390 hrs. and more) which are developed by CTEVT. All training courses we have mentioned here to conduct training had OP and OSS developed by CTEVT. We also provided handouts & manual to every trainees of related trade. After the completion of training, skill test was organized by institute of level-1 in the presence of NSTB which provided skill proficiency certificate after conducting skill test of graduates.
The Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project-Additional Finance (DRILP-AF) is continuation of DRILP which is being implemented in 18 very poor and remote hill and mountain districts (Taplegunj, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Ramechap, Lamjung, Gorkha, Myagdi, Baglung, Dolpa, Humla, Jajarkot, Jumla, Kalikot, Mugu, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura and Darchula). The Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agriculture Roads (DoLIDAR) is the project Executing Agency (EA), responsible for overall project coordination, management and implementation. Its function is to provide national direction in rural infrastructure sub-sector.
The DRILP-AF project will improve community infrastructure in the 18 districts. The project will support BGs to implement a saving scheme among its member to improve their living conditions or to invest in productive assets. An income uplifting micro-plan for each subproject will be prepared to mobilize savings from the employment for the use of new set of skills acquired from skills training and the enhanced capacity of beneficiaries. The project will organize training that can contribute to a level 1 certification by the Nepal Skills Testing Board (NSTB). The project will provide livelihood related skills training to 3000 beneficiaries from the project impact zones.
