Dr. Ram Hari Lamichhane appointed as Member Secretary

Dr. Ram Hari Lamichhane has been appointed as new Member Secreatary for next four years after accomplishment of four year tenure of Dr. Jaya Bahadur Tandon. He has been warmly welcomed by all staffs and well wisher this sunday ( April 29 ) in CTEVT central office, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. In short wellcome program organized in CTEVT/TITI hall he briefed his new planning and vision for a bright future of CTEVT. Dr. Lamichanne holds a PhD degree in Educational Leadership from Kathmandu University and has been working in CTEVT as Director of Technical Division.

In-Country Program on Entrepreneurship Development acomplished

Many scholars believe that entrepreneurship is a key driver of economy because wealth and a high majority of jobs are created by small businesses started by entrepreneurially-minded individuals many of whom go on to creates big businesses. Also, entrepreneurship is seen to reflect that citizens have more opportunities to exercise creative freedoms, higher self-esteem, and an overall greater sense of control over their own lives.

This was the essence of the In-Country Program on Entrepreneurship Development held from February 10 to 14, 2014 at the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) Kathmandu, Nepal. The program was locally organized by CTEVT led by Mr. Pushpa Raman Wagle and Mr. Upendra Pokharel. The program in collaboration with CPSC was under the helm of the CPSC Director General, Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub and was coordinated by Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja, former CPSC Faculty, currently Professor and Head of the Entrepreneurship Development and Industrial Coordination (EDIC) at the Department of National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, Republic of India.
Sharing Event/Coordination Meeting

12 Sept 2014 (FRIDAY) – CTEVT jointly with Underprivileged Children Education Program (UCEP) Nepal and Macro Development Synergies Inc. (MDSI) organized a program/meeting on Sharing Event / Coordination amongst organization and institute evolving on TVET sectors. Government, national and internationals actively participated on the program sharing their current status and their best practices on TVET. CTEVT, EVENT Project, Skills DEvelopment Project and Employment Fund presented their brief introduction and current activities on TVET whereas other representative sharing their recent experiences on TVET. Program was organized with objectives of sharing information about projects and programs, experiences, lessons learnt, best ideas and new concept.
